Celtic Tarot
Dublin Core
Title
Celtic Tarot
Subject
Celtic mythology
Description
78 cards + a 175 page, softcover guidebook in a sturdy, 2-part, lidded cardboard shelf box. No inner box is provided for the cards.
The cards measure 2.75" wide x 4.75" long. The card stock is thin and flexible, but feels low-quality; I would advise extra care when shuffling. The cards have a smooth, matte finish.
The card backs are light yellow, with a non-reversible celtic design.
No numbering appears on the major arcana cards, but according to the companion book, Strength is 8 and Justice is 11. The Fool is 0.
Suits are Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. The court cards are Princess, Prince, Queen, and King.
The minor arcana are scenic in the RWS tradition.
On a personal note, I'm ambivalent about this deck. It's okay, but it doesn't break any new ground. The scenes seem flat and perfunctory.
