Description
78 cards + 4 extra cards, with a guide booklet inside a sturdy, flip-top green cardboard box with a magnetic closure. Also included with the set is a red velveeteen drawstring bag with a yellow lining and yellow cord. The 5 cent logo is stitched on the front of the bag.
Cards measure 12 cm tall x 7 cm wide. The card stock is flexible, with a matte finish and a subtle linen texture.
The card backs are reversible.
Strength is VIII and Justice is XI. The Fool is numbered 0.
The suits are Matches (Wands), Teacups (Cups), Needles (Swords), and Buttons (Coins). Court cards are Page, Knight, Queen, and King.
The minor arcana are beautifully illustrated, but not fully scenic. They contain a blend of elements, and you can clearly see influences of the RWS as well as the Tarot of Marseille throughout.Â
Four extra cards are included, titled The Unknown, The Beyond, The Universe, and The Messenger.
Several options were offered to buyers of this deck, including a choice of card back colors (light or darker green), a choice of border colors (plain or green), and bag color (red or green). I chose the darker green backs, the green borders, and the red bag.
This deck was initially marketed and funded via a Kickstarter campaign that launched in the summer of 2019. I was not a backer; I ordered my copy from the creator's Etsy shop (MotelGiftShop).
