Sola Busca Revisited Tarot
Dublin Core
Title
Sola Busca Revisited Tarot
Subject
Historical tarot
Description
78 cards + 2 informational cards. No box or LWB was included.
Cards measure 4.75 inches tall x 2.75 inches wide (12.7 cm tall x 6.8 cm wide).
The card backs are reversible.
The card stock feels a lot like playing card stock -- there's a slight texture to it. The cards are flexible, with a lightly glossy, linen finish.
The deck was made available for sale with two different card stock options; linen finish (for $5 extra) or a standard, smooth finish. My copy has the linen finish.
The art is based on the historical Sola Busca deck, but with modifications to make it fit into a more modern, recognizable system of tarot. In other words, it isn't meant to be an exact historical reproduction or restoration.
The cards are borderless.
Strength is 8 and Justice is 11. The Fool is numbered 0. None of the cards actually have titles printed on them, though all of them are numbered, and all are fairly easily recognizable based on scene and suit symbols.
Suits are Wands, Pentacles, Cups, and Swords. The Courts are not explicitly named/titled, but look to be in keeping with the typical Page, Knight, Queen, and King arrangement.
The minors have been modified extensively enough to make them almost fully scenic; they are somewhere in between illustrated and scenic (it varies from card to card).
This deck was sold via the creator's Etsy shop; I bought my copy for $49.99 USD in March 2013.
