Tarot Uranai
Dublin Core
Title
Tarot Uranai
Subject
RWS clone
Description
78 cards + an informational card in Japanese and 1 blank card. It would have been in a box and with an accompanying book when new, but I bought my copy used from Tarot Garden during one of their reverse auctions in 2013.
Cards measure 11.5 cm tall x 7 cm wide.
The card stock is flexible, with a glossy coating only on the fronts (the backs are uncoated) -- resulting in a noticeable curve to the cards.
The backs are a fully reversible tan and white pattern.
This is a RWS clone; as such, the suits are Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles, and the courts are Page, Knight, Queen, and King.
Strength is 8 and Justice is 11. The Fool is numbered 0. No titles are printed on the minors (Ace through 10).
The minors are fully scenic.
The most unusual feature of this deck is that the Major Arcana are in full color, while the minors are in black and white.
Published in Japan. Though the informational card is in Japanese, the titles on the majors and courts are in English.
This deck is out of print. As of the current date (March 12, 2014), Tarot Garden has a pre-owned copy listed for sale for $110, in its original box with book. My copy wouldn't be worth as much, since it is unboxed with no book.
