Twilight Realm: A Tarot of Faery

Dublin Core

Title

Twilight Realm: A Tarot of Faery

Subject

Faery, Faeries, Fairy, Fairies

Description

78 cards plus 2 extra cards (one with the Schiffer logo and another advertising card), packaged with a softcover book in a sturdy, large cardboard set box with a magnetic lid.

Cards are 12.7 cm tall x 9 cm wide.

Backs are reversible.

Strength is 8 and Justice is 11. The Fool is numbered 0.

Suits are Swords, Wands, Rings, and Cups.

Courts are Page, Prince, Queen, and King.

The cards have a shiny coating, but are not sticky.

The art is fully scenic, though light on symbolism. I find the colors and the characters to be truly beautiful and charming; however, at times the faeries seem to resemble those of Brian Froud.

By the way, I chose to include The Hanged One among the scans here (though I don't usually include the Hanged Man) because of its unique vision. I like the idea that the person being hanged might be struggling with it or trying to escape.

Originally retailed for $34.99.
