Justice League Tarot
Dublin Core
Title
Justice League Tarot
Subject
DC Comics--Justice League
Description
78 cards + a substandard drawstring bag in a lidded, 2 part box. No title card or LWB is included.
The cards measure 2.75" wide x 4.75" long. The card stock is of poorer-than-average quality; take care when shuffling, and do not riffle shuffle. The cards have a thin, mostly matte finish.
The card backs are reversible, with a tiny, barely noticeable DC Comics trademark and copyright line in one corner.
The major arcana are not numbered.
Suits are Cups, Swords, Wands, and Pentacles. The court cards are Page, Knight, Queen, and King.
The minor arcana are scenic. Some are clearly influenced by the RWS, but others aren't.
No instructions are included with the deck, and to me it seems like a promotional artifact or collector's item for DC comics fans, not a tarot deck intended for regular use. The Fool card in my set is slightly bent in the lower-right corner; this was an accident during ordinary handling.
A cheap, low-quality, black drawstring bag is included in the box; it is unremarkable except for the name of the deck stamped in silver on the front. The deck itself is too large and too thick to fit easily in the bag.
No publication date is given on the box or cards, nor is an ISBN. Numerous Amazon listings give the publication date as December 2015.
