Description

22 cards in an unfinished purple iridescent bag. No title card or LWB.

Cards measure 10 cm tall x 6.5 cm wide.

The card stock is very flexible and laminated on both sides.

Card backs are purple with a field of white stars, and are reversible.

Some, but not all of the cards are retitled. Justice is 8 and Kundalini is 11. The Fool is titled "The Flying Man" and is unnumbered. Death is titled "Transformation" and is numbered 13.

All cards feature a small central scene or figure based on the RWS model, but the more eye-catching feature of each card is the colorful mandala.

Though not over-painted in iridescent colors in the manner of the custom-ordered Illuminated tarot decks by the same artist, this deck is beautifully "glittered."

Beautiful isn't strong enough a word, even -- the glitter treatment is honestly stunning. Many different colors were used, making the cards catch the light and literally glimmer and gleam in jewel toned sparkles. Sadly, the scans don't begin to capture the beauty of the glitter effect.

I suspect this was some type of custom-order . . . I did not purchase this directly from Carol herself, but rather through a sale from an Aeclectic Tarot member.

I acquired the deck in August 2011, but I'm not sure when this specific copy was printed/produced, as there's no date on it.

Note: When viewed at Aeclectic Tarot or at the Soul Guidance site, it appears that the deck comes with "chakra cards" in addition to the major arcana. My copy came with only 22 cards -- just the major arcana with no additional cards. (Again, this seems indicative of my copy having been a special order).
