Tarot Czterch Zywiolow
Dublin Core
Title
Tarot Czterch Zywiolow
Subject
Esoteric
Description
79 cards (there are 2 versions of the Fool), a title card, an informational card, and a curious assortment of extra cards in a standard cardboard tuck box. No LWB is included.
The extra cards consist of 5 cards that seem to be providing extra information about the artist and author (in Polish, so I cannot read the text), plus 4 cards that are essentially blank -- with nothing but frames and titles. They are Ziemia, Woda, Ogien, and Powietrze. Perhaps these mean it is an 83 card deck, rather than 79?
Cards measure 9.2 cm tall x 5.7 cm wide. They are slightly smaller than the average tarot deck.
The card stock is flexible, with a slightly glossy, smooth finish.
Card backs are fully reversible.
There are 2 versions of the Fool card, one numbered as 0 and the other as 22, with different titles.
The minor arcana are illustrated but not scenic, and are similar to the Thoth is style.
The minor arcana are sequentially numbered, beginning with the Ace of Wands as number 23, and ending with the King of Coins (Pentacles?) as number 78.
Determining the names of the artist and author is a challenging task given that I cannot read Polish. Also, two different spellings are given of Wieloboba's name on the box. Ultimately I relied on the Tarotpedia entry for this deck to tell the difference between the artist and author.
