Button Soup Tarot

78 cards + a small format, 100 page guide booklet. The deck and booklet are housed in a loose-fitting, 2-part lidded cardboard box.<br /><br />The cards measue 11.9 cm tall x 6.9 cm wide. The cardstock is moderately flexible, with a flat matte finish on both sides. <br /><br />The cards feature gold foil stamped inner borders on the fronts; it is pretty, but doesn't add much to the reading experience. The card titles are also gold foil stamped, which is nice in theory, but in low light the gold titles nearly disappear against the black background.<br /><br />In addition to the gold foil stamping, the cards are edged in gold. The gold gilt edging works against the deck instead of in its favor, as the egdes of many cards were stuck together quite firmly at first. It took work to separate all the cards without damaging the edges in the process.<br /><br />The card back design is reversible. The major arcana are unnumbered. <br /><br />Suits are Cups, Pentacles, Wands, and Swords. The court cards are Page, Knight, Queen, and King.<br /><br />Some of the minor arcana are scenic and others are much less so; there are many different art styles represented.<br /><br />This deck is a collaborative project created by members of The Cult of Tarot discussion forum, and was funded and marketed via a Kickstarter campaign. I was a backer at the <span>€37 level, for one copy of the deck. (€37 is around $40 USD.)</span>

Cosmos Tarot & Oracle, 1st edition
Astrology
Zodiac
This set includes two decks: a 78 card tarot deck + 22 card oracle deck, packaged together in a long, sturdy, two-piece lidded cardboard set box. Included with the set is a small, compact 141-page guide book.<br /><br />Also included inside the box is a marketing piece for the deck, almost like a long postcard, that is signed in black marker: "Thank You! :) - Light grey". <br /><br />The cards measure 12 cm tall x 7 cm wide, with gold gilt edges and a lightly glossy coating. The cards also feature a small amount of gold foil embellishment, with a constellation overlaid in gold on each card. <br /><br />The card backs are reversible. The backs of the tarot deck are a blue shade, and the backs of the oracle cards are a purple shade; otherwise, the design of both card backs is identical.<br /><br />Justice is VIII and Strength is XI. The Fool is numbered 0.<br /><br />Suits are Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. The court cards are Page, Knight, Queen, and King.<br /><br />The minor arcana are illustrated, but not always what I'd call "scenic" -- it varies from card to card, as each one was created by a different artist. <br /><br />The 22 card oracle deck included with the set can be used separately or in conjunction with the tarot cards. They are the same size, but can be distinguished from one another by the color of the card backs. The oracle deck features planets and other astral bodies.<br /><br />As a collaborative deck project, the Cosmos succeeds more than most -- especially if you enjoy reading with unconventional, contemporary decks.<br /><br />The back of the box notes that this is a limited edition; however, nowhere did I find how many copies were printed. The companion book notes that this is the first edition.<br /><br />Both the box and the book list the same ISBN, but when I search for the ISBN, nothing comes up about this deck set.<br /><br />A second edition is underway at the time of this writing (January 2020); <a href="http://lightgreyartlab.com/cosmos" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">more details are available here</a>.

Light Grey Tarot
Collaborative art project
78 cards in a standard cardboard tuck box, with a better than average LWB (32 pg "The Light Grey Tarot Guidebook"). No title card.
Cards measure 12 cm tall x 7 cm wide.
The card backs are a grey and white fully reversible design.
The card stock is flexible, with a smooth, flat matte finish.
The cards have small white borders, and the name of each card's artist appears in small print in the lower right corner of the border on each card.
Strength is 8 and Justice is 11. The Fool is numbered 0.
The minors are scenic, but the level of detail varies widely from one card to the next, as each is done by a different artist. One notable feature of the minors is that cards 2-10 of each suit have roman numerals at the top, but no titles. And since the suit symbols are not always prominent or easily recognizable, I'm hesitant to shuffle or use this deck for a reading -- I'm not certain I'd be able to identify the correct suits.
Suits are Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Courts are Page, Knight, Queen, and King.
Though the naming and numbering follows the RWS conventions, the art does not consistently adhere to any specific tarot tradition.
No year of publication or copyright appears anywhere on the cards or the LWB or the box. In fact, the copyrights may vary from card to card, as they are specific to each artist.
I purchased my copy in late 2012 for $25 USD directly from the Light Grey Art Lab website.

The card stock is excellent -- very flexible, with an exceptionally smooth, matte finish.

78 cards plus a title card and an informational card, packaged with a small, softcover booklet in a sturdy, 2 piece lidded cardboard box.
(The booklet cover is not pictured, as it is nearly identical to the box cover and the title card.)
Cards measure 12 cm tall x 6.9 cm wide.
The card back design is fully reversible.
The card stock is flexible, with a glossy, smooth finish.
Each suit has a different border color, and each was created by a different artist (attributions are given on the information card, which is pictured here). The major arcana have green borders, Cups have blue borders, Wands have dark red borders, Pentacles have yellow borders, and Swords have purple borders.
Each card has a title in addition to its number, and the major arcana each have two titles -- one traditional, and one related to science. For instance, The Lovers is also titled Binary Star.
Strength is 8 and Justice is 11. The Fool is numbered 0.
Courts are Explorer (Page), Innovator (Knight), Storyteller (Queen), and Visionary (King), and each of the courts portrays a real scientist.
At the present time (March 2013), the deck already seems to be out of print. It had been available for sale through Amazon.
More information about the deck and its creators and artists can be found on the deck's website, at http://sciencetarot.com.

79 cards (includes the typical 78 plus an extra, "Towel Mike") plus a title/explanatory card. Housed in a standard cardboard tuck box.
This deck was a collaborative project; 25 artists contributed images. Each card bears the name and web address of its artist at the bottom. The printing of the deck was funded via Kickstarter.com contributions.
Cards measure 12 cm tall x 7 cm wide.
The card stock has an extremely smooth, matte finish and is somewhat flexible.
Suits are WTF, Genitalia, Whimsicles, and Tools. As far as I can discern, they don't correspond at all directly with any traditional suits or images. Courts bear the more typical titles of Page, Knight, Queen, and King.
Some of the cards are fully scenic while others fall more under the category of "illustrated" -- and the art style varies greatly from card to card.

22 major arcana -- no box, LWB, or title card. This is the way the deck came brand new, purchased from Tarot Garden.
The cards are long and narrow, like bookmarks. They measure 20 cm tall x 7 cm wide.
It's a collaborative project by a group of Italian artists, and as such the art varies from card to card. Some of the cards are titled and/or numbered, but not all of them are. I am able to determine which "traditional" major most of the cards are intended to represent, but there are a few I cannot figure out.
The deck was compiled by the Museo del Tarocchi.
The card stock is very flexible and has a matte finish. The card corners are square.
Card backs are reversible.
The Justice card isn't numbered, but the Strength card (Forza) is 11.
According to Taropedia, this was published as a "Limited edition of 1000 Deck & Book Sets. Also available as a limited edition deck (of 200, numbered.)"
However, if my copy ever had a numbered title card, I did not receive it.

66 cards (3 versions of each of the 22 major arcana), accompanied by a booklet, wrapped in thin, rough cloth with a tan & yellow pattern and housed inside a 2 piece cardboard lidded box.
Cards are 13 cm tall x 7 cm wide.
This was a limited edition of 25 decks; my copy is number 24, as indicated on the box lid. The box lid is signed by K. Frank Jensen, the project organizer and producer of the deck.
The deck consists of 3 separate versions of each of the 22 major arcana, for a total of 66 cards in the deck.
Strength is 8 and Justice is 11.
The fronts of the cards are uncoated, while the backs have a glossy finish.
The backs are plain black and thus fully reversible.
The art style varies wildly throughout the deck as there were so many artists involved, some of whom contributed more than one card to the project. The artists involved lived all over the world -- the booklet lists each artist's name and home country.
As this was such a limited edition (only 25 copies), it is extremely difficult to find for sale. I waited and watched for 6 years before locating the copy I purchased.
