Pamela Colman Smith RWS Tarot
RWS
Golden Dawn
78 cards + 2 title cards and a standard LWB, packaged in a standard cardboard tuck box.
Cards are 12 cm tall x 6.6. cm wide. Card stock is smoothly coated with a matte finish; typical Lo Scarabeo card stock and card size.
Card backs are a reversible blue and white pattern.
Card titles are standard, and appear in 5 languages, though the borders are small enough to not be distracting. The main titles at the bottoms of the cards are in English.
Suits are Wands, Pentacles, Cups, and Swords. Courts are Pages, Knights, Queens, and Kings.
This is truly a reprint of the RWS, not just a clone. The colors are more muted than the common printing by U.S. Games.
I love how this printing recognizes the difference of opinion amongst tarot scholars and collectors regarding whose name rightfully should have been on this deck to begin with. This printing, through its all-encompassing title on the box as well as its two separate title cards, manages to acknowledge Pamela Colman Smith as an important part of the original deck's creation.

78 cards plus a title card and an advertising card. Packaged with a standard LWB in a standard cardboard tuck box.
Cards are 12 cm tall x 6.5 cm wide.
Card titles appear in 5 languages along the left borders.
Justice is 8 and Strength is 11.
The Fool is numbered as 0 and Death is numbered as 13.
The majors follow TdM conventions, but the minors display a strong RWS influence and are fully scenic.
The art, while contemporary, is deliberately made to look antique, complete with fake age spots worked into the background.
Backs are non-reversible and printed in green and white.
The card stock is typical Lo Scarabeo quality -- smoothly coated, sturdy, and flexible.
Suits are Chalices, Pentacles, Wands, and Swords in English. In the other languages, however, the Pentacles suit is called Coins (Deniers, etc.).
Courts are Knave, Knight, Queen, and King.
Latin mottos appear at the bottom of each of the major arcana cards.
For an "art deck," this is unexpectedly readable and useable, with truly unique and fascinating art. Definitely a deck worth owning for readers and collectors alike.

78 cards plus a title card and an advertising card. Packaged with an instructional foldout, in a standard cardboard tuck box.
Cards are 12 cm tall x 6.5 cm wide.
Card stock is durable yet flexible, with a smooth matte finish.
Backs are non-reversible.
Part of the Tarocchi d'Arte series by Lo Scarabeo.
Strengh (La Forza) is 11 and Justice (La Guistisia) is 8.
Suits are Denari (coins), Spade (swords), Coppe (cups), and Bastoni (batons or wands).
Courts are Fante, Caval, Regina, and Re.
The card titles are part of the original border art, and are in Italian. In addition to the titles, keywords in five languages appear along the left-hand border of each card. These were added specifically for this edition, and were not part of the original I Naibi di Giovanni Vacchetta tarot.
Giovanni Vacchetta created the original art for this deck in 1893 in Turin. The colors -- complete with age spots -- for this 2002 edition were done by Michela Gaudenzi.
The majors and court cards are fully scenic. The minor arcana are beautifully and richly illustrated, and far more detailed than the minors of a TdM deck -- however, they do not feature people, and are not scenic.
The majors show some definite TdM influences, but this really isn't a TdM -- it's unique and, in my opinion, truly amazing and worth seeking out by any collector.

Leonardo da Vinci Tarot
Art, da Vinci
78 cards + a title card and advertising card + an LWB in a standard cardboard tuck box. The art is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci.

According to the LWB, the major arcana were created in 1992 by artist Iassen Ghiuselev, and the minor arcana were created a decade later by Atanas Atanassov.

The cards measure 12 cm tall x 6.6 cm wide. The card stock is very flexible, with a smooth, mostly matte finish. This deck could easily be riffle-shuffled without damage.

The card back design is fully reversible.

Justice is VIII and Strength is XI. The Fool is numbered 0.

Suits are Chalices, Pentacles, Wands, and Swords. The court cards are Knave, Knight, Queen, and King.

The minor arcana mostly scenic; some offer more complete scenes than others. Likewise, some of the cards seem to follow the RWS system -- others, not at all.

Note: I have a duplicate copy of this deck that is still shrinkwrapped.

87 cards plus a title card and advertising card, with a multi-lingual LWB in a standard cardboard tuck box.
Cards measure 12 cm tall x 6.6 cm wide.
The card stock is flexible, with a matte finish, and easy to shuffle.
Backs are reversible. Card titles appear in 6 languages.
Justice is 8 and Strength is 11. The Fool is numbered 0.
Suits are Wands, Pentacles, Chalices, and Swords. Courts are Knave, Knight, Queen, and King.
The minors show a strong RWS influence, in that the images evoke similar meanings and emotions to their corresponding images in the RWS, though without the same symbolism.
The cards are fully scenic and beautifully painted, with animals acting as humans (dressed, standing on two feet, etc.). I find this to be a strongly evocative and readable deck.

Visconti Gold Tarot
Visconti Tarots
I Tarocchi Visconti
Tarots des Visconti
Visconti, Historical
78 cards plus a title card and 2 advertising cards in a standard cardboard tuck box. Part of the Tarocchi d'Arte series.
Cards measure 12 cm tall x 6.6 cm wide.
This was sold as part of a box set with a companion book. Hence, the tuck box containing the cards is not marked with an ISBN or a date, and there is no LWB (because the companion book removes the need for one).
This is the 2002 release of this deck. The earlier release (1998) had different versions of the Tower and Devil cards. The original art was painted by Bonifacio Bembo, but some cards are missing from the original deck -- hence, Atanassov painted his own versions of them when restoring the art for this edition.
A stunningly gorgeous feature of this deck is the gold foil stamping, which makes the cards absolutely gleam in the light. The scans don't even begin to capture the beauty of the gold foil.
Aside from the gold foil stamping, the cards have a matte finish and the card stock is nicely flexible. (Though I wouldn't want to shuffle these cards, as I don't want to damage the foil.)
The backs are reversible.
The minors are beautifully illustrated, though not at all scenic.
Suits (in English) are Pentacles, Swords, Chalices, and Wands. (The Pentacles suit is named differently in the other languages that appear on the cards.) Courts (in English) are Knave, Knight, Queen, and King.
Justice is 8 and Strength is 11.
There's an interesting typographical error on the companion book cover: Renaissance is spelled "Reaissance" (as you can see in the picture).
The book is written by Giordano Berti and Tiberio Gonard.

Tarocchi dell'Immaginario
Imagination, Fantasy, Art
22 cards (majors-only) with a title card and an informational leaflet in Italian. Packaged in a 2 piece cardboard sleeve-style box.
The back of the box is signed by the artist, Ferenc Pinter.
The cards are oversized, measuring 14.7 cm tall x 8.8 cm wide. The corners are square.
The card stock is amazing -- smooth and uncoated, and with a very faint stripe pattern on the front that gives the art a sense of life and movement.
The backs are a blue and white pattern that isn't quite reversible (though you won't notice unless you are looking closely).
Card titles are in Italian. The Fool is numbered 0. Justice is 8 and Strength is 11.
Part of Lo Scarabeo's Tarocchi d'Arte series.
Later also made available as a full 78 card deck.

Justice is 8 and Strength is 11. The Fool is numbered 0.
Suits are Chalices, Pentacles, Wands, and Swords. Courts are Knave, Knight, Queen, and King.
In terms of style and format, this deck is quite unique. The major arcana are breathtaking -- each one a work of art in and of itself. The minor arcana feature an assemblage of people and scenes overlaid with digital-age oddities -- including barcodes and URLs, for instance. The scenic aspects of the minors and courts seem to have little relation to the traditional meanings of the cards
Each minor and court features an inset of the corresponding card from the Ancient Tarot of Bologna, also published by Lo Scarabeo.
The majors are black and white, the minors primarily black and white with the inset Bolonga cards being the main points of color, and the courts are in full color.
