Description
78 cards + a title card and advertising card + an LWB in a standard cardboard tuck box.
The cards measure 12 cm tall x 6.6 cm wide. The card stock is very flexible, with a smooth, matte finish. This deck could easily be riffle-shuffled without damage.
The card back design is completely reversible.
Justice is VIII and Strength is XI. The Fool is numbered 0. On the cards themselves, the majors are given standard/traditional titles. However, in the LWB, they are given names from Celtic myth. For example, III (The Empress) is identified as The Morrigan in the LWB.
Suits are Chalices, Swords, Pentacles, and Wands. The court cards are Knave, Knight, Queen, and King.
The minor arcana are scenic, and largely follow the RWS tradition.
This deck was created by two different artists. Giacinto Gaudenzi created the major arcana, and Saverio Tenuta created the minor arcana. Unfortunately, the end result is disjointed, as both artists have distinct styles that do not match one another. The major arcana are more fully realized, detailed images, while the minors look more like comic book art.
